QualiTru Launches New, Improved 12-Channel Septa

QualiTru Sampling Systems continues to innovate with the introduction of a re-designed 12-channel sampling septum.

The septa are a mainstay for milk sampling in the dairy industry, from the farm to the tanker truck and finally to the processing plant. In addition, QualiTru’s sampling systems are found in many beverage and food production facilities. The sterilized septa provide a simple-to-use sampling solution that dramatically improves safety and ensures that a truly representative sample is available for testing.

The new 12-channel septa are a single-piece design manufactured from high-density, elastomeric material that provides additional stability when inserting into and removing the septa from QualiTru sanitary ports.

The updated septa also feature a permanent, thermal-aluminum label that clearly indicates which channels have been used to avoid cross-contamination. (photo of product attached)

“QualiTru Sampling Systems is striving to improve liquid sampling through innovations that make the sampling process simpler and more accurate,” said Mark Schwab, President of QualiTru Sampling Systems. “For decades, very little has changed in how liquid samples are taken. Today, food safety is a primary concern for processing facilities, regulators and consumers. Our goal at QualiTru is to provide a sampling system that brings accountability to the sampling process.”

QualiTru worked closely with CSP Technologies to develop the new septa. “By partnering with CSP Technologies, one of the leaders in innovative, high-quality package solutions, we are able to bring to market a new technology that improves sampling and enhances food safety across a number of industries,” Schwab said. The two companies are now working to co-market the new septa.

The company’s 12-channel septa, along with smaller, 7-channel septa, are part of a complete sampling system that includes stainless steel sanitary ports and sampling containers, as well as peristaltic pumps. QualiTru recently introduced TruDraw Single Samplers, which are used to collect samples from the 12-channel and 7-channel septa. QualiTru Sampling Systems™ has a long history within the dairy industry. For more than three decades it has been the most trusted sampling system in both dairies and milk processing plants for providing consistently accurate samples for testing.
